North Hadley Connecticut River land: Valley Land Fund is providing key financial assistance to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to purchase a Conservation Restriction and permanently protect an 11-acre parcel along the Connecticut River in North Hadley.  The site contains 400 feet of river frontage, and is adjacent to other land protected by DCR.  Much of the land will remain in farming, as it has high agricultural value.

Southwick section of the M&M Trail: Valley Land Fund is working with the Town of Southwick to put a Conservation Restriction (CR) on a 43-acre parcel that includes nearly a half mile of the Metacomet-Monadnock (M&M) Trail, a 114-mile trail extending from the Connecticut State Line to Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. The Conservation Restriction will permanently protect this land which includes extensive wetlands and part of the Traprock Ridge in Southwick.

Mitch’s Island: A small island lies in the middle of the CT River, between Mitch's Island and the Meadows of Northampton. Right down from the Summit House, this island is under water much of the spring and contains important wildlife habitat.  Valley Land Fund currently owns this island and is in the process of selling it to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation in order to preserve the land in perpetuity.

The Benson Place in Heath: The Benson Place is a sustainably managed low-bush blueberry farm that preserves wildlife habitat and allows recreational access to the 40-acre property.  Valley Land Fund has provided financial assistance that will allow the farm owners and the Friends of Benson Place to preserve the land through an Agricultural Preservation Restriction.
